About the Doctor

Dr. Peter Smith is licensed to practice Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in the State of New York,
and The Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
A native Long Islander, Dr. Smith attended Chaminade High School in Mineola. From there, he attended his beloved Boston College, where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Peter then went on to the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he was granted his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. After completeing his Post Doctoral training, he opened
his private practice in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, in Stony Brook, New York, where he has been practicing for 16 years.
He was Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics in 1993, and by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics
and Primary Podiatric Medicine, also in 1993. He currently hold a position as Clinical Instructor in the Department
of Orthopedics, State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine .
